6 Strings and a Cello is a cello and guitar duo. Creating unique versions of popular songs from a variety of genres, including R&B, Soul, Jazz, Pop, and Soft Rock, the cello and the guitar blend together seamlessly, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion that you won’t want to miss.

Guitarist Gavie, an Afro-Ukrainian, was raised and trained in Uganda. His playing is soulful and organic and is strongly influenced by African contemporary / jazz music. He plays a mixture of Pop, Soul, Jazz, Rock and other contemporary music.

Cellist Abbie, born and raised in London, studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has a strong classical upbringing. Growing up in a multicultural city and thanks to her mixed African / European heritage, her style is versatile and she creates a powerful, sonorous cello sound.

Together, they have formed 6 Strings and a Cello, an exciting mix of two different styles coming together to produce a unique and captivating sound.
